Sorry it is late this week! You get freebie points for the weekly challenge today! So if you watched TV today, you don't have to deduct points.

Weekly Challenge: 50 ab exercises daily. Crunches, sit-ups, whatever you like. You don't even have to do them all at once if you can't, just do 50 total throughout the day.

Week 4

Weekly Challenge: We had a lot of feedback that writing down everything you ate for the mystery challenge last week was really helpful, so we decided to make it the weekly challenge this week! Grab a notebook, set it on your kitchen counter or take it with you, and just write down everything you eat. You don't have to be exact, just estimate. You might be surprised at the end of the day how long the list gets...

Mystery Challenge: Get familiar with mypyramid.gov. Click on this link, fill in the info, and find out what your caloric intake should be each day. It is a pretty cool website! (We will probably use information as to what you recommended daily intake should be and the my pyramid tracker in a future challenge, so you might want to check it out while you're on the website.)

Week 3

Weekly Challenge: Flossing.

Mystery Challenge: Write down EVERYTHING you eat and drink for an entire day.

Week 2

Weekly Challenge: Eat breakfast. It doesn't have to be a big breakfast, just get something in you to kickstart your metabolism for the day.

Mystery Challenge: Perform an act of service for someone.

Week 1

Weekly challenge: Drink 8- 8 oz. glasses of water every day.

Mystery Challenge: Eat 1 cup of vegetables one day this week.

Mystery challenges are one-time challenges to be completed sometime during the week they are assigned in.

Total points possible: 45. We have a spreadsheet that we track all of this on, but I couldn't figure out how to put it up on the blog, so if you want it, leave me your e-mail address in a comment and I'll send it to you.

The Beginning

A friend of ours gave us this idea after his sister organized a fitness challenge for their family. Jared and I felt like we needed to make some changes in our home, so we decided to get this going! Right now there are 20 of us participating! We just finished up Week 3 and three of the participants have lost over 10 lbs and many have lost around 5 or so. It has been such a great thing for us that we thought we better share this with more people!
